It doesn't matter how limited or how general a sneaker release
is I always do my homework for it. Therefore the Eggplant Foamposite release wasn't any different. After asking all my
spots in Mississippi about the Eggplants, I seemed to be
speaking a foreign language to them. Thats when I knew that just like all the other Retro Foam's, Mississippi would not be getting Eggplants either.

I was always a day or hour too late for the websites that
released the Eggplant Foams. My spots in Jackson, MS and the entire state of Mississippi basically let me know that they weren't getting the sneakers. So I called up the good people at R.Sole in Memphis, TN; my home away from home. They were very friendly, helpful, and understanding of my situation. After a couple of calls they took down my name and number and held the sneakers for me. At 9:45 a.m. on February 5th, 2009 I hit the road alone on a mission, to get that size 13 Eggplant Foamposite in my custody. Therefore during the entire trip as I was driving, I was calling my professors making sure that they had gotten my work and making sure I was excused, as well as clearing things out with other people as well.

At 12:45 I arrived at R.Sole, told the good people who I was and out came the tan box. The mission was completed, and the trip was worth it. Hit up a couple malls with some of my Memphis friends, and headed back to Mississippi with my Foams riding shotgun. Everyone that knows me always says that I put 100% into everything that I do; so I put 110% in getting these shoes. All in all, the 6 hour round trip to Memphis, TN wasn't half bad.

P.S.- Shout out and Thank you to the entire R.Sole team. I got to give a extra shout out to the people that took down my name and number, especially Rufus, and made sure my Foams weren't sold before I got to Memphis. I wish you all the best and plan to shop there many more times in the future.
