A warning to all the serial killers, stalkers and doers of all things illegal...

During the summers of '84 and '85, LA suffered one of the longest heat waves to hit the city, residents would leave their windows open hoping for a cooling breeze, however during this period LA also was under the grip of a killer who used the open windows to gain access to unsuspecting victims who he would rob, rape and murder. He would then continue his spree in San Fran.

After his capture he was found guilty of 13 counts of murder, 5 attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 burglaries.

His undoing....detectives would find numerous shoe prints around all the crime scenes that matched size 11 ½ Avia aerobic sneakers. Luckily for them only 3 pairs existed in the San Fran Bay area.
